Late Monday evening, President Rodrigo Duterte arrived in Bangkok, Thailand after his final day visiting Myanmar.
The Philippine president arrived in Thailand to strengthen the ties between the two South East Asian nations in a two-day official visit.
Duterte met with Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha on the afternoon of March 21 to discuss various issues of mutual interest such as agriculture, tourism, trade, investment and the like.
The commander-in-chief also met with Filipinos based in Thailand at the Navy headquarters in Bangkok.
The Philippine Embassy in Thailand stated that around 1,900 Filipinos would attend Duterte's speech.
Indeed, many turned up as President Duterte addressed the overseas Filipino community.
The Filipinos honored the president with a standing ovation as flags waved in the air and thunderous shouts of “Duterte” rang across the hall.
