Singer Jimmy Bondoc, 'DAVAO Movement', and other supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte have made a move to protect the controversial President by seeking to impeach Vice President Leni Robredo.
On the website 'gavagives', Duterte supporters have reportedly reached over PHP 1.5 million to fund their rallies that serve to protect Duterte and oust liberal party member and vocal Duterte critic Vice President Leni Robredo.
Previously, the group had $30,000 as the goal amount. However, it did not take long before the goal was met. With over 400 givers, the group has now gathered approximately $31,400 and have raised their goal amount to $50,000 or about 2.5 million pesos.
Where these funds actually came from is hard to trace. The givers provided their names, but some of them were obvious fakes, as the late Jessie Robredo, Leni's departed husband, was among them.
This kind of blatant disrespect is characteristic of most of Duterte's supporters.
Lahat kami sa D.A.V.A.O. But we promise you and our God this: that we will be GOOD men. Good men who are DOING something, when faced with inconvenient TRUTHS," the group claims.
According to the web page, the next rally will be held on April 2 from 4:00 pm to 12:00 midnight at Luneta Rizal Park.
"Mag rally tayo.
