‘Doble Kara,’ touted the best “melodramatic television series” in ABS-CBN’s afternoon block, aired its last episode on February 2017 after two years of dominating daytime drama shows.
The series has won several awards, including the TV Series Craze Award for Best Daytime TV Series, the ALTA Media Icon Award for Best Daytime Drama Series, and a Gawad Tanglaw Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series for Julia.
Julia gained critical acclaim for her performance in a dual role. Rocky Chua of TV Series Craze said: "Julia can effectively portray both the bida and the kontrabida roles which makes the story of Doble Kara more interesting and exciting.”
He continued: “It even leads in the afternoon teleserye lineup of the Kapamilya network. And yes, the story of it is unpredictable!"
This has led several of Julia's fans and followers to speculate about whether she has someone significant in her life right now, following her successful stint in the melodrama series.
Time and time again, Julia has claimed that she isn't dating anyone but says she's “very close” to fellow Kapamilya actor Coco Martin.
Even though Julia is single, a video emerged on YouTube featuring her gesturing to her belly and exclaiming: “Ano na ‘to, two months… para ‘pag lumaki, makikita mo ‘yung development.”
