A pair of siblings in Cebu graduated together proving that poverty and disability are no hindrance to achieving goals for the most determined among us. The most heart-warming thing about this story is that the older brother voluntarily stayed back a year in school to take care of his disabled younger sister.
Not only did he sacrifice one year of his academic career, he also carried her to school everyday; on his back. Would your kuya do that for you?
Ella Mae Belido, as identified by the viral post on Cebu Citizen Report's Facebook page, is unable to walk on her own. However, this didn't stop the tw siblings from attending school anyway.

The story of their strife went viral once it was shared by Cebu Citizen Report by Leonard Nuñez who saw them at their graduation.
Netizens flocked to the aid of the two admirable siblings asking what offering their monetary support. With their actions they were able to get donations setup and purchased a wheelchair for Ella Mae within a matter of days.
Aside from the wheelchair, the siblings were given groceries and other essential ameneties provided by netizens. The wheelchair was the most valuable though since this meant that her older brother no longer has to carry her on his back.
Surely he will continue to help his sister through high school and, most probably, college.
She must be so thankful for her selfless older brother who sacrificed his education and his friends for her.
What did you think of their story? What has your kuya done for you lately? Tell us in the comments section below!
