Delima to Duterte: Isang Matanda na May 'EQ' ng Isang 6 na Taong Gulang na Bata!

Straight from her detention facility in Camp Crame, Senator Leila de Lima called out President Duterte for his actions and threats against ABS CBN and The Philippine Daily Inquirer. The two institutions are under a lot of fire for their alleged “attacks” on the current administration.

The Senator said, in her letter, that the President is an “old man with an EQ of a six-year-old.” In recent news, the President threatened ABS-CBN that he will block the renewal of the news outlet’s congressional franchise.

"The ABS[-CBN’s] franchise will be due but it does not need extension because it has been there for about 25 years. The law says it's okay, only if you adhere to journalistic [standards]”, said the President.

Inquirer is also in the President’s crossfire due to the alleged unpaid taxes of the Prieto family that’s about P1.5 Billion. He even said that he will treat them “harshly” if they do not vacate their Creekside property in Makati.

The Senator said, “This is an administration run on one man's personal vindictiveness, its policies purely founded on his desire to avenge what he considers as personal affronts against him.”

In addition, she also said, "This is an old man at the helm of government but with an EQ of a six (6) year-old. He disregards constitutional principles of press freedom and democratic governance by a professional civil service corps just to satisfy his need for vengeance to avenge his being a victim of what purportedly amounts to a simple case of estafa, if at all, but by bringing the full force of government to bear on the supposed swindler, instead of simply filing a case in court.”

She also said that the President is still using the power of the government to put down media establishments that are opposed to him.

“Where the leader of government uses public resources to avenge himself for personal slights, that is the very characteristic of a tyrant and a tyranny”, said the detained senator.

The senator is in the detention facility because of her alleged involvement with the drug scene in the national penitentiary when she was the Justice Secretary.
